About this project

Come join our friendly Tuesday team at the beautiful Oakley Creek in Mt. Albert. Our team leaders will teach you about all aspects of conservation such as plant id and invasive plant control. We’d love to have you on the team.
This project is part of our Connecting People With Parks programme, in partnership with Auckland Council, which runs every Tuesday and sometimes over the weekend. On this programme volunteers come to our offices ready typically for an 8am departure and we then take you out in our van to the project and return you no later than 4pm. Times vary on weekend projects (You can also meet on site if that suits you better).

What we provide

For all our projects you are assisted by a qualified team leader who guides you through the tasks and can help you to identify and learn about native species of fauna and flora and conservation. We provide all tools and equipment and also provide transport from our office in Eden Terrace

Covid-19 update

We are following the advice from government and local council on all Covid-19 restrictions. We are required to keep a record of your contact details for contact tracing. If you have any concerns about Covid-19 procedures, please get in touch.
