About this project
Nestled along the upper reaches of the Waitemata Harbour in Paremoremo lies Sanders Reserve. It’s a fantastic 41 acre multi-use recreation area with great views of the Harbour. A local community group, Sustainable Paremoremo have been working hard on the restoration of this area over the past few years by planting over 20,000 native trees. These trees now need to be cared for to help them survive the coming summer and prevent them from being strangled by weeds. Can you help out for a day to remove these weeds from around our young trees and mulch to prevent them from drying out over the coming dry months?
